There are certain questions that are frequently asked when considering a care service provider. We hope that we have answered your questions below, if you have further questions, please contact us.
Yes, all carers are fully employed by A Class Care - please note, we avoid using temps or supply agency staff. Before an offer of employment is made carers are required to attend a vigorous recruitment process which includes participating in an interview and passing a series of tests. Every employee holds a national recognized qualification or are working towards one, or have been fully trained in Dementia/ Alzheimer’s Care. This means that we are able to provide the latest in Alzheimer's education and home care techniques. Our carer employees must all complete a 12 week training programme.
A Class Care can provide a wide range of services. Some of our support services include the following:
-Household tasks e.g., housework, laundry, cooking, shopping.
-Errands e.g., collecting pensions, benefits, prescriptions.
-Administrative help, for example help with form filling, letter writing, phone calls on your behalf.
-Companionship, e.g., Conversation, reading, listening,
-Personal care e.g. getting up, toileting, bathing, washing, dressing, overseeing medication.
Yes. As long as the carer is provided with a MAR chart from the Pharmacist or one provided by our own Liaison Officers.
The cost will depend on the level of care that we have been asked to provide, and an individual assessment will be made, free of charge. A Class Care has experience working with multi-source funding and will try and accommodate most circumstances.
Yes. For clarity and to protect the interests of all parties our Registered Manager will prepare an industry standard care agreement contract.
If circumstances change, for example you go into hospital, please contact the Registered Manager.
Your carer will be local to your area and have been fully trained by A Class Care. They will also possess an enhanced Disclosure Bureau Check formally known as CRB and come with full references. They may be female or male. If you have a preference please let us know.
Yes. A Class Care will on occasion arrange trips which you may like to attend. We will contact you directly to arrange these. In addition to this, if you require a chaperone or companionship whilst on a visit one of our carers will be happy to assist.
If you are unhappy with the service provided then please contact our Registered Manager and we will take steps to investigate and improve the situation to your satisfaction.
Our dedicated Registered Manager can help you through the complexities of care fees planning and legal considerations. There are methods of public funding available for Care and benefit entitlements that you should explore. However, if you do not qualify for public funding and have to pay for care privately, we would advise that you speak to a Financial Advisor with ‘Care Fee Planning’ knowledge and experience. We can arrange this for you.
We can start the care package once all the necessary procedures and checks have been completed. This does take time and is not something we like to rush. We can and have however, in exceptional circumstances, supply care in shorter periods than this.

Testimonials
My mother came out from hospital at end of life approx 7 months ago. She was bedridden with complex needs. Through the help of a brilliant carer, she has worked with mum with getting her to eat, supporting her with all her personal care and supporting mum with her mobility.
Not only this but the help and support in other areas far beyond that I expected. I myself was in a very dark place thinking my mothers time was coming to an end. My mum is now a different woman to how she was its amazing how she has progressed and hopefully will continue through continuity with her carer for the next level of her rehab as we call it. I cannot thank A class enough for all the support given and sending ( carers name) to us, and that whoever training these carers to a very high standard we have been blessed by all of you.
Testimonials
We have had other agencies looking after my wife who has been suffering with dementia we had to change agencies and when we changed to A Class Care their level of attention and care given to my wife was “brilliant”.
They are fantastic carers and I could not fault them. More people should know about A Class Care.
